IETT organized a one-day tour to the “Divjakë-Karavasta” National Park and the Belsh Lakes for students, specialists, and other interested youth, with the aim of studying and exploring their numerous scientific, natural, touristic, and economic values. The primary goal was to gain a deeper understanding of these diverse values.
The group was guided by specialists Xhulia Bygjymi and Dritan Lloçi, both geographers/GIS experts. Flamingos, along with many other bird and mammal species, are among the park’s rare assets, contributing to the area’s identity as a natural park of high ecological value.
Another stop on the tour included the Belsh Lakes, formed by the region’s characteristic karstic phenomena. During the visit, participants learned about the lakes’ landscape, natural and touristic values, as well as the impact they have on the local economy.
