Young voices, diplomacy, and collaboration came together in Tirana during the second edition of Tirana Model UN (TMUN) 2026, held on May 16–17. Organized as a youth-led initiative with the support of IETT Albania and CIT University, the conference gathered more than 70 motivated students for two days of debate, negotiation, and leadership.
Through four engaging committees, participants explored major international issues, developed their critical thinking and public speaking skills, and experienced the dynamics of diplomacy in a professional and collaborative setting.
The first day opened with the introduction of the organizing team and a welcoming speech by CIT Representative Dr. Erjona Deshati. The conference concluded on the second day with inspiring guest speeches from the UN Youth Delegates of Albania, Ema Mecaj and Alesja Dodaj, followed by the Closing Ceremony and award distribution for outstanding delegates and participants.
Building on the success of its first edition, TMUN 2026 continued to strengthen Model UN Tirana as a growing youth-led network dedicated to empowering the next generation of diplomats, leaders, and changemakers.
