The Institute of Education, Heritage and Tourism (IETT) participated as a partner institution in the international workshop “Tourism, Its Socio-Economic & Environmental Impacts”, hosted by the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT).
The workshop brought together academics, experts, and students to discuss sustainable tourism and its future challenges and opportunities. IETT was represented by Prof. Dr. Nevila Nika, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, who delivered opening remarks, while tourism expert and IETT collaborator Mr. Luan Dervishej presented on sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, and community involvement in responsible tourism development.
The workshop engaged 22 undergraduate students from Tennessee Tech University and CIT through presentations and interactive discussions on tourism development, environmental responsibility, and the use of ICT in sustainable tourism.
