IETT held its latest Board of Directors meeting at its premises to analyze the activities of the first half of 2020, during which the Institute’s work focused primarily on activities related to its three key sectors.
Present at the meeting were the founder of IETT and Chairman of the Board, Prof. Xhevair Lleshi; the Director of IETT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj; board members Ambassador Kujtim Morina, Prof. Dr. Valter Shtylla, and Mr. Buron Kaceli; IETT Coordinator, Ms. Anisa Hykaj; and IETT Secretary, Ms. Resilda Muca.
In his welcoming remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Xhevair Lleshi, acknowledged the Institute’s achievements and the new collaborations that have emerged as a result. Wishing IETT continued success, he announced his resignation as Chairman in order to continue contributing as an external collaborator.
Following this, the IETT Coordinator presented an overview of the activities carried out by the Institute during the first half of 2020, including workshops, seminars, the opening of the Department of Foreign Languages, the establishment of the CIRD center, participation in international conferences and fairs, IETT’s memberships in global and European organizations, ongoing projects, and more.
The Executive Director of IETT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj, then initiated a discussion on possible structural changes within the Institute and outlined several objectives for the second half of 2020.
After this detailed presentation, the board members—prominent figures in the fields of education, cultural heritage, and tourism in Albania—provided their respective proposals and suggestions aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of future plans and projects. They also unanimously proposed and elected Prof. Dr. Valter Shtylla as the new Chairman of the IETT Board of Directors.
The board members positively evaluated the work of IETT in meeting its institutional objectives and offered their suggestions and proposals for the Institute’s continued progress.
