This contest aimed to highlight the beauty and values of our country through the lens of a camera. IETT, with the support of UBA Bank, CIT University, and the “Mileniumi i Ri” Printing House, successfully organized the photography contest themed: “The Treasures of Albania.”
“This contest was a modest attempt to showcase the beauty and values of our country through the lens of a camera,” said the Director of IETT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj, in his opening speech. Prof. Zekaj went on to thank the participants, everyone who submitted their photographs to the contest, the supporters, and the organizers.
Special thanks were also extended to the jury of the contest:

Mr. Adnan Hyka, professional photographer of archaeological monuments
With patience and professionalism, they reviewed hundreds of photos submitted for the contest in order to select the best ones.
On the occasion of the event, Prof. Dr. Valter Shtylla, cultural heritage specialist and Chairman of the IETT Board of Directors, held a lecture titled:
“Photographic Art and Cultural Heritage,” emphasizing the importance of photography in the preservation and promotion of Albanian cultural heritage.
Afterwards, the jury chairman, Mr. Buron Kaceli, invited the winners and presented the prizes as follows:
First Prize Winner: Livia Xhaferri, with the photo “Maja e Vajushës, Lëpushë”, with the motivation: A beautifully composed landscape with light and shadow, clear forms, color, and focal depth. A symbolic photo of the Albanian Alps. Ms. Livia was awarded a 5-day trip to Istanbul.
Second Prize Winner: Pandeli Çeço, with the photo “Clock Tower, Gjirokastër”, with the motivation: A distinctive photo, taken with a professional photographer’s approach, featuring a beautifully composed and original scene. An uncommon image. Mr. Pandeli was awarded a Samsung Galaxy Quad Camera A13.
Third Prize Winner: Joni Margjeka, with the photo “Lake of Shkodra”, with the motivation: An artistic photo that stands out for its poetic quality. A lyrical moment with aesthetic transparency and pleasant lighting. It beautifully expresses the relationship between humans and nature. Mr. Joni was awarded a Fuji Instax Mini 11 Bundle Box.
Among its main objectives, IETT focuses on promoting Albanian values and traditions, which are undoubtedly part of the nation’s rich heritage.
