Located near the city of Peshkopi, these thermal waters are considered among the best in the Balkans due to the healing properties of their composition. Their unique mineral makeup gives them powerful curative effects.
The waters originate from the gypsum formations of Mount Korab and contain potassium and sulfate. There are two sulfur springs with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 43.5°C and a flow rate of 14 liters per second. In addition to the thermal (hot) springs, about 300 meters uphill, there are two cold mineral water springs, also known for their strong healing properties. These, too, are popular among vacationers.
The thermal waters of Peshkopi are highly effective in treating respiratory diseases, rheumatism, diabetes, skin conditions, and gynecological issues.
Historical records show that the Peshkopi thermal waters have been frequented for many years.
They represent a golden opportunity for health tourism, offering exceptional healing potential and attracting foreign tourists. A visit to this area not only supports physical well-being and recovery from various health conditions but also offers the chance to enjoy the natural beauty of our country.
Indeed, Albania is blessed with all the treasures that nature can offer.
